MarkupBinder version 0.6 beta 28 October 2013 Installation package and documentation updated 1 May 2020

Vinux
is a Linux distribution based on Ubuntu, optimised for use by the blind community.

MarkupBinder version 0.4 beta was available in Vinux 3.0 as a package in the distribution repository. To the best of our knowledge it is not included in later versions of Vinux, The information in this manual is for developers who might wish to include it in a distribution in the future and are welcome to contact us.

To install MarkupBinder, the user type the following commands in the terminal:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install markup-binder

Besides installing MarkupBinder itself, the installer installs the Pandoc converter and configures the use of MarkupBinder in gedit as a series of tools ready for use. You can also use MarkupBinder from the command line with your favourite text editor if you wish.
