Starting SpeakOn

To start SpeakOn CalcPad (simply referred to as SpeakOn in this manual) , either use the icon on the desktop or alternatively start it from the Start > Programs menu on the desktop.

When you start SpeakOn, a plain window appears. The window has no widgets or menu and it is only there to indicate that SpeakOn is running and to make sure that SpeakOn receives the keyboard input.

You will need to form a mental picture of what SpeakOn is doing and where you are in the system by listening to the speech synthesizer.

When you start SpeakOn, the Calculator task is started automatically and remains running as long as you use SpeakOn.
