Where am I?

This feature tells you where you are in SpeakOn and is accessed somewhat differently using the Standard keyboard and Numerical keypad (NumPad).

Standard keyboard

You can access this feature from the Help menu by pressing the Help [F1] key. The 'Where am I?' item is fourth on the list.
Alternatively to access this feature directly press the:
# Help [Shift + F1] key
SpeakOn announces the names of the current task and control.

To find the current control only, press the:
* 'Help' [Ctrl + F1] key

To find the current item in the current control (for example, a track in a playlist or an article in a newspaper), press the:
*# 'Help' [Ctrl + Shift + F1] key

Numerical keypad (NumPad)

You can access this feature from the Help menu by pressing Menu (1 long) key. The 'Where am I?' item is fourth on the list.
Alternatively to access this feature directly press the:
'Where am I?' (3 long) key

With each successive long press action, it cycles between the announcement of the current item, control and task in focus.

TouchScreen and TouchPad operations

The following is a gesture equivalent to the actions mentioned above:

'Where am I?' {swipe down > right > up} - With each successive gesture, cycles between the announcement of the current item, control and task in focus.
Tip - gesture traces the shape of a blunt arrow pointing down.
