How to find the settings you need

All settings in SpeakOn are done from the relevant task Main menu.

The settings from the Manager's task menu are global which means that these are settings that affect all tasks in SpeakOn. The global setting available are Media customization, synthesizer, Voice, messages, Touch, Additional audio formats and File associations.

There are seven media tasks available by default when you install SpeakOn. Additional four media tasks can be added by installing 4 plug-ins bringing the total to 11. Each media task has its own settings where relevant. To specify these settings you need to start the relevant media task. For example, to set the username and password for Tunein Radio, start the Tunein Radio media task, bring the Main menu by pressing Menu [Alt] (9) key and select:
Settings > Tunein Radio login information
The Login task starts. Enter your username and password and then select 'OK end task, return to Manager' from the Main menu. The Tunein Radio media task ends and you are back in the Manager. Then start the Tunein Radio task again and if your username and password are correct, the radio station you last selected starts to play. You have to register with Tunein Radio to use this service.

Similarly, to specify your RNIB Newsagent username and password, go to the RNIB Newsagent eText or RNIB Newsagent Audio tasks and in the menu select the relevant 'Username and Password' information menu item. (You need to specify the username and password for the eText and audio services separately, you need to be a RNIB Newsagent subscriber to use this services.

You will notice that after specifying some settings such as username and password for the various services, the task you are in ends and you are placed back in the Manager and need to start it again. This is done deliberately to ensure correct communication between SpeakOn and the relevant service.
