Removing plug-ins

SpeakOn's functionality is implemented using plug-ins. Each plug-in can contain one or more tasks.

To remove plug-ins from the Manager menu, bring the menu and select:
Tools > Remove plug-ins

The Remove plug-ins task starts. There is only one control in this task; the Installed plug-ins List control.

Press the Up and Down arrow keys to scroll the list. You are informed of the installed plug-ins and their functionality.

Press the Select [Enter] key to toggle check or uncheck; uncheck removes a plug-in.

Confirm the operation by using the Main menu [Alt] key and then select the OK menu item.

You are informed about the progress of the plug-ins' uninstall process and advised that SpeakOn will shut down and needs to be started again to complete the operation.

If all goes well when you start SpeakOn again you will find only the relevant tasks in the Manager task list ready for use.

Restore plug-ins to installation default

This menu item is to allow you to restore SpeakOn plug-ins to the last SpeakOn Windows installation default before any subsequent updates. Use this option only if you suspect that SpeakOn does not operate properly. After this operation you might want to try to update SpeakOn again and if it still does not work as expected, uninstall SpeakOn and then install again from the SpeakOn website.
