The Manager task provides two main functions. Firstly, it enables you to start media tasks and secondly, perform operations such as update and global settings which affect all SpeakOn's tasks.
The Manager task (or in short 'the Manager') starts automatically when you start SpeakOn and remains running until you shut down SpeakOn.
After you have started SpeakOn, it announces that the Manager is starting to load. You are then told that the focus is placed at the first (and only) control. This control is called 'Available media' which, as the name implies, is a list containing all the media tasks available to the user.
When the Manager has loaded, it will announce that it is ready.
Using the Main menu from the Manager enables you to perform other operations as will be explained later in this section.
